Well, today is the official half-way point in my graduate program. The third term ended at midnight last night. Though the grades will not be officially submitted until later this week, I have passed both classes with A’s and have reached 18 graduate hours. So, I am either half-way done or half-way started.
What’s next? Term four, of course. It doesn’t officially start until next Monday, but I have already begun the reading. I have developed the philosophy that if I start the term ahead, when I undoubtedly get behind, I will actually be right on time. Sounds like something the Mad Hatter would say right?
I am continuing to work on short fiction and have several pieces still under review for publication. I also received my second rejection of the year–a non-fiction piece–which I have proudly displayed above my desk, motivating me to keep churning out the prose and submitting away.
There are big things moving in this Chaos I call home. I can feel them coming, and I’m getting more excited every day.
Just remember, you can never have order, if you don’t start with Chaos.
